A value priced buffet with decent food and usually good service. A great part of the buffet is their Mongolian Grill station. Something for everyone. Players card gets you a bit of a discount. Grandboys love it.

Selection is wonderful for the price; I have a history of eating at many Vegas buffets as well as Chinese buffets. I'll highlight the good items to catch during the lunch hours: *Shrimp Cocktail *Menudo (had to add onions, lemon, salt, and cholula for more added flavor) *Chile Colorado *Brisket *Thanksgiving plate: Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing *gelato: chocolate & pistachio *Bread Pudding topped with custard I tried more stuff but didn't care to mention it, not worth getting up for. Time for a good nap!

Tried the Friday night Seafood buffet on Labor Day weekend. Arrived shortly after 5pm. The line didn't look too horrible, I'd say it was about 100 deep. We got to the cashier's desk in about 40 minutes. It took another 15 minutes to get seated. Sign up for The Club card to get $3 off - $46.95 instead of $49.95. It's free to join at the Rewards Center, which is off to the right, just before you get to the buffet. We were there for the seafood so we loaded up on hot and cold Dungeness crab legs and claws and snow crab legs, as well as cold peel and eat shrimp. The Dungeness crab was better than the snow crab, which seemed a bit waterlogged from being frozen. The cocktail sauce is surprisingly tasty, with a nice horseradish kick. The cold shucked oysters were too fat and were better as the hot Oysters Rockerfeller in the hot section. The clams in a butter garlic sauce there were good too. The butterflied fried shrimp were nice and crispy. We tried a couple of sushi rolls, they were okay. I also tried the Chinese pork, it was a bit too sweet for me but I lean savory. There was a lot of food that we didn't get around to: prime rib, several kinds of cooked fish, bbq ribs, the Mongolian grill, the nacho/taco bar, the salads, most of the desserts. I tried a bit of what appeared to be Boston cream pie but it wasn't that good. Our server was great! He constantly cleared the mounds of shells from our "trash" plate, and took away our empty plates. He brought a refill of my drink without my asking. And after I got dessert, he asked if we wanted coffee. Overall, the Friday night seafood buffet isn't fancy but it's pretty good bang for your buck. We were pleasantly surprised by the diversity of offerings, even though the level of preparation and cookery is not high end. We weren't expecting the Bacchannal at Caesars, especially since it was half the price. We haven't been back to Bacchannal but we'd go back to Seafood night.

It has been at least 15+ years since the last time I've visited the buffet at the South Point. Prior to COVID, all the local casinos had a buffet and there were just so many to choose from that South Point was never on the list. However, after COVID, many of the local casinos decided not to reinstate their buffets -- Stations being one of them. South Point did NOT get rid of their buffet and have probably made it more attractive by including a Prime Rib & Seafood night. Their Prime Rib & Seafood night is Fridays only. It is about $50 per person but if you have their gaming card, you get about $2-3 off. With that, you also get two tickets for an alcoholic beverage of either beer, wine, or sangria. My friend and I decided to give it a try one Friday night. I got there a bit before 5PM and there wasn't a line at all. So if you're willing to eat early, you won't have to wait! Once we paid, we just had to wait to get seated. The first "station" you pass is the alcoholic beverage station. All the drinks are already poured -- you just put your ticket in the box and grab whichever drink you want. For beer, I believe they only had Bud light and Budweiser as options. I ended up grabbing a cup of zinfandel and sangria. For seafood options, they had cooked shrimp, snow crab legs (hot & chilled), Dungeness crab legs (hot & cold), and raw oysters. I wasn't a huge fan of the hot snow crab legs because they were pretty tiny and got dried out when they heated it up. However, the chilled Dungeness crab legs were awesome. I LOVE chilled Dungeness and we got at least four plates of this. We did try their prime rib and it wasn't bad. It's definitely not the best I've had but it was tender and had good flavor. I think the key is to get the rarer cuts. They had a small selection of Chinese food, Mexican food, and Italian food. Nothing to write home about to be honest. They do have a Mongolian station, which I really enjoyed. It's too bad that they don't include noodles for you to put in your Mongolian stir fry. Their dessert section was pretty lean but they did have ice cream which had a decent amount of selection. Service wasn't bad either. They cleared plates timely -- none of our plates piled up like a mountain. I can't say how they are with drink refills cause my friend and I didn't require any the whole time. We were too busy eating instead of drinking. Overall, I don't think the price is horrid for what you're getting, especially when you get two alcoholic drinks with it! A whole Dungeness crab at seafood boil places typically cost $50 but for $50 here, you can get unlimited Dungeness crab legs. I would come back just for the Dungeness crab legs.

Back again for more buffet food. Post COVID, buffet options in Las Vegas have dwindled, so it is nice to have a spot with pleasant staff and a nice variety of food. We like to come about 9:30 so you get breakfast for 30 mins and lunch starts to fill the trays after your first or second plate. Today we poppped in for Memorial Day and were pleasantly suprised by the balloons, and decor to celebrate veterans and active duty members.Table f the fallen soldier. A variety of carved watermelons. Tip: For Memorial Day and Veteran's day, they offer TWO FREE buffets with ID. The buffet includes bottomless bloody marys. Sing up for a players card and become a club member for FREE. Regular pricing / Club Member pricing is as follows: Breakfast $17.95 / $14.95 M-F 7am-10am Lunch $22.95 / $19.95 M-Thr 11am-3pm Fri 11am-2pm Prime Rib & Champagne Brunch $30.95 / $27.95 Sat/Sun 8am-3pm includes bottomless mimosas Prime Rib dinner featuring peel and eat shrimp$30.95 / $27.95 Sat-Thr 4pm-9pm Seafood night featuring prime rib $49.95 / $46.95 Fri 3pm-pm includes 2 glasses of wine, red sangria, or draft beer.
